TONKIN (6) was backed off the map to win fresh at Mornington, crunched into $1.35 and never really looking like losing, getting a bit tired late but holding on to win by a comfortable 0.8 lengths. She looks suited here and can go right on with it. LA VIE EN (5) debuted in a handy race at Warrnambool during the carnival and ran well for third but really improved on resumption this time around, scoring by three lengths over the 1100m, again at Warrnambool. Ran around in quick time there and that suggests she's more than capable of measuring up. SKIPJACK (1) looked good winning fresh at Cranbourne over this trip, scoring by two lengths. He should be hard to hold out. EXTREME DIAMOND (3) resumes. He showed ability in his initial campaign, tackling a good Listed race here before a spell with subsequent G2 winner Angel Capital and recent Magic Millions winner Bosustow running the quinella. He can be an improver this time in. EARTH GOD (2) next best.
