REDSTONE WELL (5) can be devastating on his day, the four-length win at Listed level at Randwick last prep a case in point. Just missed in the Canberra Cup last start when second-up - that should top him off nicely for this assignment. FOUJITA SAN (13) has been sneaking home in his races in Sydney, the latest six weeks ago in the Parramatta Cup when he arrived late to grab fourth. Concerned about the gap between runs but he is very capable and under just 54kgs could easily finish over the top of these. POISON CHALICE (6) gets out to 2000m again which looks a good move. Raced once at the trip and was beaten just 1.3 lengths by Berkeley Square in the Ballarat Cup. Well found by the market and should give a good account. Three-year-old filly CILACAP (10) thrashed her own age and sex in the Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley a fortnight ago. Untried at this trip but she is too smart to ignore. BASILINNA (9) was super impressive first-up at the Valley and should hold that form.

VerdictUseful gelding. Comes off a 35 day let-up. At the latest run raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 9 at Flemington in the G2 Blamey on March 1 over 1600m, 2.5 len behind Marble Arch carrying 55kg at $31. The start before that 7th of 11 at Flemington in the LR The Elms Hcp on February 15 over 1400m, slow going 3.5 len behind Rise At Dawn carrying 54kg at $7.50. Freshened up and likes Caulfield so must be respected. - 10. Cilacap
